Pulmonary Function Tests
Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) help the physician determine air flow and air volume as well as how well the lungs are functioning. PFTs also allow the physician to see exactly how much oxygen is leaving the lungs and circulating through the body. Pulmonary Function Tests typically take fifteen to twenty minutes and require some effort from the patient.
