Joseph R. Zurfluh is a native of Coral Gables, Florida. He moved to Mobile in 1982 to attend Spring Hill College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He began his career in healthcare with PrimeHealth of Alabama in 1991 and has worked for various healthcare companies including Complete Health and United HealthCare. He has extensive experience in healthcare marketing, network development and credentialing.
Mr. Zurfluh joined Pulmonary Associates in 2001 as its third administrator. Since that time Pulmonary Associates has doubled in size and opened a third clinic. He has been instrumental in the creation of a medical billing and collections company, as well as a recruiting firm that specializes in placement of pulmonary specialists to other well run groups around the nation.
